Help answer the question about travel packages
Why do all the online packages for travel to Australia only ever include two twin or one queen beds?I would like two queen or two double beds, but I can't find a hotel that seems to offer that. Is this typical for AU or are the online packages just not good deals?
Just wanted to add that virtually every hotel I've ever stayed at across the entire U.S. has had two queens in a standard room.
I'm British but living in SW France and my best friend here is a good ole S American gal (from Georgia).
Listen, there are stereotypes of many nationalities. Apparently we're uptight, arrogant and formal and apparently you're fat stupid and don't travel. I have travelled a lot and you will always meet hateful, ignorant people and nice, accepting people wherever you go. If anyone's worth bothering with, they will accept you on your own merits and not judge you on your nationality.
If you travel (why not start with Europe? There is so much diversity here), I would say, just respect the culture (buy something like a Rough Guide and read the intro before you go), make an attempt at the language and be pleasant – don't expect the same service or standards of the US, just enjoy the differences.
It would be a shame if your concerns stop you from experiencing this big wonderful world.

I was in a similar position, although in my area, the teaching market is absolutely flooded with candidates and there are no FT teaching jobs. Since I couldn't find a teaching job right out of college, I went into sales for the money. They pay was about $10 grand better than an entry level teacher, but the job was repetitive, I was under constant stress to hit my quotas, and I was burned out after two years. I was eventually "let go" and am now just getting off of unemployment (I was let go in August.) I found myself to be back where I started. I am now a subtitute teacher and I love it! I hope to get a FT teaching position next year (since I am getting to know teachers, principals, etc.) If teaching is your passion- do it! Sales is stressful and has a high turnover rate- for a reason! When you are a teacher you have a real career and can climb up the salary ladder. Sales jobs are always great- at first. Not worth it in the long run. Go for the teaching job.

i am trying to find a question to be answered here but i really cant. Is it only some tips for the immigrants or did i miss the question?
At todays exchange rate 800 usd = 625.12 euros, and 1,000 usd = 781.40 euros….that should give you an idea of how the exchange is going…much better than it was last June when I went. Just hope it holds up Aug 6th..lol.
Don't know about the 2 islands but around Athens you should be okay on watching what you spend. Walking around Plaka are many places to find inexpensive, but meaningful, souvenirs. Also, it is walking distance to Acropolis. You will find that there is a lot of walking done over there so you save on fares. Only use the taxis if you just can't walk, I had 2 different drivers take me to the same location from the same house and it was 5 euros more the 2nd trip. But what the heck, its all part of the good time.
You can find different prices for your meals in places that are small, but still good food. Its like the states, you can find very expensive or other just depends on your taste.
Remember though, what you buy to take back has got to fit in that suitcase.

Don't worry, EMS requires a signature so no one could have taken your package. If it came via the United States, the post office was closed for the 4th of July so that will add at least one more day. EMS is very reliable, it will arrive soon.
If the item traveled through America on its way to Canada, there would be a delay. China does not use its own mail carriers outside of China.
