Now days, travel has become expensive, and costs are rising rapidly. But it doesn’t mean that you won’t find cheap deals for your dream vacation. This article provides you some necessary information and tips to find best deal for you.
Finding cheap fares consists of three steps.
- Know about the deals from the airlines
- Search the internet for best deals
- Remember about the special days.
>1. Know about the deals from the airlines
If you have decided to travel; the first and foremost thing to do is find out the major airlines which ply between your origins to destination airports. This you can find out from any website when you search for<a rel=”external nofollow” target=”_blank” href=http://www.airtkt.com/>Cheap Flight Tickets </a>.Once you know about these airlines, the next thing to do is to go to their websites and see if they have got some kind of special offers going on. You should do this for all the major airlines you have come across; you can also compare their fairs. You will instantly know which airline is cheaper.
2. Search the internet for best deals
Since you have already visited the websites of the airlines, you know which airlines are cheaper. But on the internet there are may travel agencies and consolidators who have special deals with the airlines because they buy tickets in bulk, so some travel agencies and consolidators get hefty discounts from the airlines which they pass on to the customer. So it may be that you may find same ticket costlier on the airlines website and cheaper on the consolidator’s website. So it makes sense to search for <a rel=”external nofollow” target=”_blank” href=http://www.airtkt.com/>Cheap Flight Tickets </a> on consolidators or travel agents website as you had done with airlines website and compare the results of all searches. This should give you better idea of the fairs available.
- Remember about the special days.
For travel there are peek seasons and lien seasons, there are busy days and there are not so busy days, the busy days or the peak season are more in demand then the other days. The more the demand the higher the price of the ticket. So you should avoid peak seasons like Christmas or New Years Eve or any other festival season. Sundays and Mondays tent to be very busy days for travel, most tend to travel on these days. The tickets bought for this day tend to be costlier.
It is always a good idea to search flights on multiple travel portals to compare fairs.

Help answer the question about cheap flight tickets
Are there any strategies to getting cheap flight tickets?I'm going on vacation this summer, as most people are, and I wanted to know of any tips to getting cheaper flight tickets. Is one day better to buy than another day? Are there any good websites besides orbitz, kayak, etc? thanks for the help

Most airlines have last minute specials right on their own sites, and/or they will email you every week with their special fares for the upcoming weekend. Check the links below. I've been able to get some real good deals in the past, like Washington to Ottawa or Toronto for less than $200.
But, the YWG – MSP route is basically served by only two airlines (AC and NW – any other airline is just a partner of one of these two and they don't compete with their partners), so it might not be easy to get a cheap flight.

Okay, FIRST: WHERE to get the ticket. It doesn't matter. It will pretty much cost you the same amount, no matter how you go. If the newspaper says it's $600/RT, there are surcharges, taxes, and extra fees that add up to about the same. Figure roughly $1100. You might pay a bit more or less, but it isn't really worth it to spend too much time searching. Check the ads in the paper, call the agents, and the settle on a method, but I promise, it won't be too different, no matter where you go. Iberia is STILL the nicest airline. They were so nice to us! We returned on AA. Stay away from them if you can.
Second: WHY are you leaving at the end of April???? You want to spend all of April THERE!!!! Best time to see everything. Prettiest month of the Year. Not too hot in the south. You can play at the Feria in Sevilla, and probably catch Semana Santa.
Save your pennies now, and have them while you are there. You will not regret it. But the thing about the flight is that it all washes out the same.
LOL @ 1:43 translate “I am from America” to bauan Fijian its ” Au mai Amerike” not ” Au mai Amerika” not the difference ke and ka. BTW I luv the video, my grandma still use bamboo to cook rourou/taro leaves in it. Very nice with chillies and lemon, yummy

man i love fiji!
Try http://www.canadian-affair.com — they have some very cheap offers just off-peak, like now, and again late Summer. Leave this Sat., return 13 days later for £303 from Manchester, for example. 8May-22May from Gatwick also £303 return. Glasgow 7May-22May, £304 return.
Also try http://www.flyglobespan.com serving Vancouver from Glasgow, Gatwick, and Manchester. £289 using 10May-24May for example, from Glasgow. £289 rtn. 1Jun-14Jun from Gatwick. £289 16May-29May from Manchester. (Also from Dublin, not the UK of course, but maybe of interest… 2Jun-9June €347 rtn — about £272 currently).
Here is my advice.
First you need to find a travel agent who works with a consolidator. Basically a consolidator will do the bidding for you, based on general dates. The downside to this is, you HAVE to remain very flexible. You cannot choose airlines, departure times and you really have to also accept that there might be layovers or more connections than you would have hoped for.
The consolidator will find the tickets, contact the travel agent who contacts you with the overall quote (which I promise will shock you with how LOW it is!!). At that point it is up to you to decide, can you do the dates, the routing, the airlines, etc? You cannot make any changes, basically it is a yes or a no at that point. Then, you always tip the agent about $50 to $100 as a commission fee.
Let me give you a great example of how cheap this can get. I went from San Francisco to Prague in the Czech Republic one week after September 11th in 2001. When I priced tickets (mind you that was MY job in corporate aviation, purchasing tickets for pilots and crewmembers) the best airfare I could find was $1,100 on line with a great deal of research.
Then I learned of the consolidator idea.
I went through the process and here is what I got… remember, San Francisco to Prague (round trip!)
$398 PLUS one night in a hotel in Helsinki, Finland!!
And the routing was really not that bad. The only complaint I had was once I got to New York, my international flights were on Finnair… and wow, you really see how American owned and operated airlines EXCEED foreign carriers! They were pretty bare bones and the plane felt a little old and dirty too!
So, check around with a travel agent first, asking them if they do work with a consolidator.
Also remember that travel agents DO work on a 10% commission of the flights, so they might not want to hook you up with a consolidator!!
Good luck, oh, one more thing. I would fly out of ORD (O'Hare) because that airport should pull some amazing prices.
First one to watch!
love it!
Awesome Video! Lots of love there!
This is a cool video of back home, missing it heaps.
I played around on kayak.com ANd I found this on June 9 to 16
from National the fare is 802 oncluding taxes, but you have to stop twice in Boston and Zurich
Even though you are booking thru United it is actually a USAirways flight from BOS-DCA
This should get you started, play with the dates and see what else you can find.
I also tried NY airports that turned out to be more expensive
If you select EWR (Newark) and check the nearby airpots box you search all the NY airports and Philly as well

I’d really like to go there someday!!
I am amazed…how cool. You are going to miss those kids. THey are great!
Happy and beautiful settings. Keep sending those videos.
1- First, book your R/T Return ticket. O/W or One-WAY/Leg fares are twice more expensive.
2- You can book an O/J or Open-Jaw, that is YYZ/Toronto to LON and back ROM>YYZ/Toronto.
3- From Europe to Canada, see:

Perfect!!
http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/ is the best site because it includes actually "all airlines". You can also sign up for alerts.
Expedia and yahoo will work semi somewhat.
If you search on any flight search engine above however, and you find a reasonable flight, make sure you go to the actual airlines website and check for the same fight/time also, it happens that sometimes the prices drop there before it gets to the search engines, also saves on occational "service fees" of some of the search engine providers.
Very easy!
Use any of the following sites and set-up "fare alerts" that will deliver daily (or weekly) the best fare available!
