International flights connect across borders and have services to prominent business and tourist destinations of the world. Flights that service beyond the national borders of any country are known as International flights. Certain examples are Atlantic Airlines, Air India, Qantas and Air Emirates.
Indian Carriers to International Destinations
The three major Indian carriers that ply to 25 international destinations are:
* Air India: Till 1994, this was the only international flight service. Today, it is the official national carrier and flies to all major destinations, such as New York, Istanbul, Chicago, Toronto, London, Moscow, Singapore and Hong Kong.
* Jet Airways: It is a luxury airline service plying to 18 international destinations, such as Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bangkok, Brussels, Dubai, Colombo, Dhaka, Doha, London, Kathmandu, New York, Muscat, Singapore, Riyadh and Toronto.
* Kingfisher Airlines: Kingfisher Airlines launched its international flights with the acquisition of Air Deccan. It is India’s only 5-star certified airline. It has three unique classes of service – Kingfisher First (Business class), Kingfisher Class (Premium economy) and Kingfisher Red (Low fare). Kingfisher First and Kingfisher Class are available for international flights as well.
International Connecting Flights
Passengers need to change terminals to board a connecting flight. The terminals are generally far from the main landing ground. Hence, extra time must be allocated for covering this distance. If you fear missing a connecting flight, report in advance to the travel agent or the airline customer service about the transit time. They shall make arrangements for the next connecting flight and your lodging requirements.
International Flights: Ticket Cancellation
Visit the cancellation page of your travel agent’s website to cancel your tickets. The refund will be automatically directed to your bank account. If you have used the international ticket partially, there is no refund. The cancellation charges also depend on factors, such as:
* Airline: International flights have their own standards and apply different cancellation charges and policies.
* Sector: Some international flights have higher cancellation charges than others.
* Fare Structure: Certain fares attract increased cancellation charges than others.
* Time of cancellation: The closer it is to the departure date, the higher the cancellation charges.
Most international flights accept cancellations 48 hours prior to the flight departure. Passengers must contact the airline to confirm cancellation.

Help answer the question about cheap international flights
Any tips on how to book cheap international flights from Bangkok????Basically I want to travel to South Korea around July time the cheapest ticket ive seen so far on the internet is around 18,000….still expensive im sure i can get a cheap round trip ticket but im just not sure how……….info is appreciated.
Almost all airlines will allow the higher international allowance when you have a domestic connecting flight. Check with your airline of airline's website to be sure.
Safety razors and less than 3 oz. cans of shaving foam are allowed and many airlines offer them in business and 1st class. Just go in the bathroom and shave, I usually bring along an electric razor on long flights, it's a lot easier than foam and razors in a cramped airplane bathroom. Electric and safety razors are not prohibited and are perfectly fine to bring onto an airplane, at least in the US and Asia where I fly to and from frequently.

Here is what happens on most international airlines. They have in flight entertainment provided through a TV set. On some airlines it's a TV on the main cabin and you jack in to hear the sound in economy whereas on some it's a TV in the back of the chair in front of you. When it's a chair in front of you you have multiple movie channels and music channels that you can browse through even in economy class. I flew on Air France recently and it was very nice. This is the same deal that happens with SAS(scandinavia) as far as I can tell.
The only airlines I paid to watch movies on have been US-US flight such as with Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. They have something called a digeplayer, more like a deluxe portable dvd player, that you rent out for like 5-10$.
One last advice I would have for you though is to get your own headset in the carry on baggage. Get a headset with one plug and a headset with 2 plugs(the cord at the end has either one line or two to plug into the sound device). The headsets airlines give out are pretty bad.

Not off the top of my head, but if you're looking for international flights out of the U.S, I tend to use http://www.atiflights.com – They're prices are always cheaper than everywhere else and I 've had no problems with them so far (knock on wood!)
You cant really do this especially if your talking about the whole world. The thing is especially in Europe most flights are international since the countries are not that big domestic flights are not as popular as the international flights. British Airways fly more international flights than Domestic flights. Some of these flights could be London-Paris which is almost an hour long while they also fly London-Miami a 9 hour flight.
Same thing goes with even airlines in America. American Airlines flys Miami-Nassau a 45minute flight LA-London a 12 hour flight Miami-San Jose a 3 hour flight etc… There really is no average for international flights, you could get average for transcontinental flights, ocean crossing flights, flights with different airplanes but there will be no information on the average lenght of an international flight since there are so many but some are 30minutes and others can be 17 hours.
Each airline may have a different weight for international flights. I know of two carriers, one allows 50 pounds, the other allows 75 pounds. You need to check with the carrier(s) you are flying to make sure you don't get charged.
Another person posted a message last week in this category about being bumped from a United Flight, rebooked on Lufthansa. United allowed 70, Lufthansa only allowed 50, they got surcharged and asked people how to get the money refunded.
Their fares are okay, but I think Vayama and Kayak fares are better, generally speaking. We just booked a trip to Egypt through Vayama and got a fantastic price, better than Orbitz or Expedia
I do think it depends on the time and destination, though. I'd advise you to look at all four and find your lowest fare. Good luck!

Cabin pets are allowed by all airlines on international flights, but there are several rules that you have to take into considerations.
First, cabin pets should not weigh more than 10 kilos or 22 pounds, including the carrier. If the pet and the carrier weigh 10 kilos or more, then you should check them in and they are considered as Animal In Hold (AVIH). I'm sure you don't want that.
Second, airlines limit only 2 pets (only 1 for other airlines) per passenger and the total number of pets in a flight may be limited by the airline (like 10 for some).
Third, if you're bringing 2 pets, they should be "housed" in 2 different carriers. Under no circumstance would pets be allowed on board, whether in the cabin or in the cargo hold, if they occupy the same carrier.
Fourth, the carrier should be leak-proof, such as a kennel or a pet bag.
Fifth, the pet should not be fed at least an hour before departure. You can certainly give water, but food is a no-no.
Sixth, you should carry with you a health certificate from your vet stating the dates and type of inoculations given to your pet. That certificate will also be inspected by the quarantine officials of Costa Rica.
And seventh, you should be ready to pay for excess baggage as pets are not considered as part of your free baggage allowance, whether checked-in baggage or carry-on baggage. Call your airline for the prevailing rates.
