Yes, an international departure tax is payable by all travellers leaving Vietnam. It is not included in the price of your flight ticket and must be purchased at the airport before departure.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the International departure tax is USD 12.
In Hanoi, the International departure tax is USD 14.
In Danang, the International departure tax is USD 12.
Domestic flights are not subject to airport tax. It is already included in the price of your ticket.

Help answer the question about cheap international flights
Looking for resource for cheap international flights?Am planning a trip from Miami to Berlin and back sometime this spring or summer. I will be staying 2 1/2 weeks. I am very flexible on dates to travel.

There are always microbes in the air that can make you sick. many far worse than this flu that has affected a very few people. You have a FAR greater chance of catching the regular old flu in the U.S. Every year over 200,000 people in the U.S. have the flu and about 36,000 die…heard any big fuss about that?
No, only transit flight is available. You can take plane to India then to Vietnam. When I went there I had a transit of 3 hours.

The last time I flight about 2 days or exactly 36 hours.
But it's depend on your airport and what company you on.
I flight Korea so It take about 4 hours from Saigon to Seoul.
And in Seoul I had to wait 3 more hours to Transfer to America or A&A
Then there you go.
Korea air line is much cheaper & better than Vietnam airline.
And dude try to lock your luggages because my cosine she just lost some importance Items like cellphone & laptop in the security gate in Vietnam.
my ticket was $1075 in june and i went with EVA.
EVA is pretty good and it has a tv for every seat and their service is good too.
I would say contact Vietnam Airlines…. or is that too obvious?

You can do a search on ebay. You can find about anything there. Your other choice is army surplus stores. Many of them carry original gear and you may be able to find what you are looking for there.

The flight ticket alone is around $1500 @EVA Airline for economy seat. Hotel??, depend where and how many star you want. 5 stars can be as much as $200/night in Ho Chi Minh City. Local hotel around no more than $20/night..
Food, shopping and taxi..ect..for 3..no more than $10k total..
