With Ryanair based at London’s Stansted Airport and EasyJet based at Luton, it is relatively easy to book cheap internal flights in Britain. This is because Ryanair and EasyJet are two of the most competitive low cost carriers in Europe.

Other low cost airlines, such as Go, sometimes find themselves competing with one or the other of these two carriers on internal flights in Britain or Ireland. This often leads to cut throat pricing by the big two no frills airlines, so you can sometimes get very good deals if you book your ticket in the middle of a blazing hot price war.

EasyJet serves more than one hundred destinations in 27 countries throughout Europe and the north of Africa.

Ryanair flies to the following destinations in England from various origin cities:

Birmingham (Birmingham International Airport)
Bournemouth (Bournemouth Airport)
Bristol (Bristol International Airport)
Doncaster/Sheffield (Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield)
Durham (Durham Tees Valley Airport)
East Midlands (East Midlands Airport)
Leeds/Bradford (Leeds Bradford International Airport)
Liverpool (Liverpool John Lennon Airport)
London (Gatwick, Luton and Stansted)
Manchester (Manchester Airport)
Newcastle (Newcastle Airport)
Newquay (Newquay Cornwall Airport)

In Northern Ireland, Ryanair serves Belfast at George Best Belfast City Airport and Derry in the City of Derry Airport.

Scotland is also served by Ryanair, with Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick Airport), and Inverness Airport among its airports in the UK.

Exploring other Options for Cheap Internal Flights in Britain

Ryanair and EasyJet’s web sites are great sources of cheap internal flights in Britain. They frequently offer great deals on flights both within and outside of the UK. The fact that two low cost carriers serve so many British cities means that other airlines that wouldn’t be regarded as “no frills”, low cost airlines must maintain competitive rates on similar routes within the British Isles. So airliners such as Aer Lingus, British Airways and British Midland Airways (bmi) are frequently forced to keep their fares low on internal British flights.

Cheap internal flights in Britain can also be found on aggregator web sites that trawl the web in search of the best deals. These aggregator web sites search airline web sites, booking agents and other sources, so it is likely that you will find excellent deals using the aggregators. Aggregators finance their web sites through advertising and affiliate deals with car rental companies and hotels, so they don’t charge fees for the searches or even when you make a booking through their site.

There are many great destinations in the United Kingdom and locating cheap internal flights in Britain will allow you to explore an area over a weekend or for a day break without the burden of taking too much luggage. You can visit the Tower of London or Edinburgh Castle, Belfast’s impressive City Hall or you can take in a soccer match in Liverpool or Manchester, with little more than an overnight bag. So check out all of the available cheap internal flights in Britain today.

I would highly recommend both hotwire and priceline, flycheapabroad, and bookairlinetickets.com. I've searched around for airfare quite a bit, and these three sites usually ring true as the cheapest. Other than that, I'd go to sites like igougo.com, travelzoo.com, kayak.com, and bookingbuddy.com. These sites offer searches of multiple online airfare websites, making it easier and less time consuming to compare prices. As for when to buy, I usually go to farecast.com. They pretty accurately predict when a good time to buy a flight would be based off of past and current trends, etc. It's pretty useful. Another site I've found handy is rightflight.org. They did a bunch of research on the various airfare sites to see which sites are usually the cheapest. They also have a list of most of the international airfare sites on their webpage (60+), which can be pretty handy in and of itself. Hope this helped!

Many airlines offer great discounts and offers for its passengers and when all of it is served to you on a single platter through these travel sites, it gets easier to choose. Pick the one that suits your requirements the best and see what heavenly tours feel like. if u take my advice then try http://www.globester.com .It is a nice site having various options for travellers.Check it out

Typically, airlines will load new fares late in the evening, but there are instances where sales can occur that last several hours at the most, so the price could well change during the middle of the day. Add in the complexities of airline pricing, which price tickets based on available inventory on a specific flights, and you'll find that tickets can change on a nearly constant basis.

Ultimately, what this means, in my opinion, is that there really isn't a best time of the day or week to buy cheap international airline tickets, because of the way that pricing works. Additionally, there are quite a few other factors that go into determining the price for international destinations, such as demand of the route and destination, the minimum stay, and so on. The page linked below has some discussion on some of the things you can do to improve your chances of finding a cheaper ticket.

The best way for international fares is to check with your travel agent, they use consolidator's for net fares, of course they mark it up but it's off the net, you will only find published pricing online, you can save alot of money getting your ticket through consolidators, when I buy mine my travel agent uses Skylink…….

going where?

Virgin Atlantic don't serve Canada. Try WestJet for international flights within North America, and try Canadian Affair for flights to the UK. These do not show up anywhere else, not even on aggregators such as Kayak, or mega-aggregators such as http://www.bookingbuddy.com which not only search Kayak, but even more aggregators, plus consolidators, and actual airline websites.

To get cheap International Flights you need to monitor offers from different travel websites. For example Yatra.com gives $30 discount for US citizens traveling India. easydestination.net gives discount and prizes to Indian Citizens traveling abroad. Just look for such offers from travel websites.

Sure, as long as each place will let you enter on a one-way ticket without showing proof of onward travel. Many places won't. You can check that here: http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/international_travel_information/visa_passport_information/index.jsp

Are you aware of Tiger Air, Jetstar, and other low-cost airlines? Here: http://www.discountairfares.com/lcostaus.htm It might be cheaper to book your own one-way flights with these, and use your printed e-ticket receipt as "proof of onward travel" when entering each country.

The big airline search sites usually don't cover these new low-cost airlines. However, it wouldn't hurt to try your itinerary with these multi-stop searches:
