I would advise you do do all your bookings with an tour company who is affiliated with one in the U.S.A.
It is impossible to pick the good from the bad by a website and the recommendations they post from other "satisfied tour participants" are not worth reading a there is hardly ever any validity to them.
So don't trust luck do it all through a registered tour company either in person or online.
The difference between what you will pay will be very little if anything.But you will have the security of knowing you are dealing with a reputable company and will get what you are expecting and paid for.

There is only one answer…..go to an ASTA Travel Agency and ask to sit down and talk…..and talk and talk…..there is a huge difference between the 2 destinations and I would tell you that both have big ups and bigger downs. Both have a high level of danger in the wrong areas and both are incredibly exciting…..Egypt wins for me. Go in with a time frame and a knowlege of what level of acconnodations that you want ie. Holiday Inn level, Hyatt Level or Four Seasons level…There should be no charge from a good agency….Stay away from any agent that is not a member of ASTA or ARTA! There are many agents that buy credentials for 400.00 and poof thay sell. For good information, you are not haggeling over prices, but don't pay extra….

Try http://explore.com I use them all the time. They have small groups of up to 18. I went on the 4 day Nile Cruise only a small boat exclusive to explore. They do other tours in Egypt also. Really good company I always go with them as I travel alone.

For the full package holiday as listed either Thomson or Thomas cook
Where you will have a Thomson flight and Thomson hotel and even transfers
But then this will be expensive
At the moment you can contact any of the online companies as well like On the Beach or Travel republic ….etc and they can put for you the package together Still you will fly on Thomson or Thomas Cook airlines and you can get into a Thomson or Thomas cook hotel but with a lot cheaper price as the hotel will be booked through another agent with out the over head cost
or you can put together your own package by going on one of the flight search website and you can book the hotel yourself through any of the websites offering hotels and again that is more hassle but cheaper

I have traveled the world extensively and I also do not like tours. Have said that, Egypt is one place you want a tour. It's the only way you'll see the important stuff with less hassle and get information about what you see. This country really needs a tour. When I first came here, I booked a 2 week tour, now after living here 20 years I realize it was the smartest thing I did. To try to organize it yourself and get things done on time and not have to deal with all the hassles, please book a tour. Plus, you'll be safer.
